There are many different ways you can fundraise for Koala Kids and support our mission. While some people might prefer traditional events like hosting a morning or afternoon tea party at work or asking your child’s school if you can arrange a gold-coin fancy dress day,  you could also invite your family and friends to make a donation to Koala Kids in lieu of gifts at your next birthday or family celebration or ask people to donate a brand new packet of LEGO or DUPLO.

Fundraising FAQs

How do I get started?

Please contact us to discuss your ideas.

How can Koala Kids support my fundraiser?

We can provide

Am I able to set up an online fundraising page?

Please complete our online fundraising application form and we will be in touch to create your customised fundraising page.

When should I deposit the funds raised?

Please ensure all funds are deposited into Koala Kids’ account within 30 days of completion of your fundraising activity. All deposits should be referenced with the name of your fundraising activity.

How will my funds be used?

All funds donated to Koala Kids enable us to continue to provide small things that make a difference to the lives of children and young people and their families during cancer treatment. We are always happy to share anecdotal stories and discuss our programs and activities in more detail. For more information, please visit koalakids.org.au or facebook.com/koalakidsNFP.

Can a representative of Koala Kids attend our event?

While we make every effort to have a Koala Kids representative attend your event, please understand that this will depend on location and availability.

Are we able to receive or sell Koala Kids merchandise?

Koala Kids produces and sells branded merchandise. We can discuss your requirements and how we can best provide promotional products for your event.

How can I promote my event on social media?

Once approved, you can start promoting your fundraising activity. Simply tag your happy photos with @koalakids #webelievehappyhelps

Read below about some of our previous happy fundraisers.

Auburn South Primary School Fundraiser

Year 5 students Sophie, Zoe, Alaska, Skye, Naomi and Harriet created a dress up day at Auburn South Primary School because like us, they believe happy helps too.

The school community was invited to dress up as their favourite superhero or animal or simply dress in Koala Kids colours orange and white. Everyone made a gold coin donation for Koala Kids and the girls also asked their family and friends outside school to support their project.

Sarah and Dave’s Wedding

Sarah and Dave invited their guests to make a donation to Koala Kids in lieu of gifts for their wedding. The couple “loves what Koala Kids stands for and felt that to put a smile on these brave kids faces would be the greatest gift of all.”

Siena’s Happy Hair Cutting Story

Siena Sands decided to raise funds for Koala Kids by cutting her long, brown hair to above her shoulders, all 25 cms of it!

Siena loved the thought of her beautiful hair being made into a wig for someone with cancer as well as being able to help her raise funds.
