Good Business Management

Carey_Baptist_Grammar_School_logoFor the second consecutive year, year 11 Carey Grammar students have chosen KOALA Kids to be the recipient of the profits generated from their second term business management unit.  In groups of up to four students, each group devised a business concept, wrote a business plan, budget and marketing plan.  Most of the groups created a food production business and some applied to Coles and other sponsors to support their endeavours to return a greater profit.  Brad Kerr, business management teacher told KOALA Kids that the students enjoy creating their own business model, despite the rather tight parameters.  The opportunity to create sponsorship and raise funds for a meaningful and cause that they can relate to without too much imagination (secondary students with an illness unable to attend school for an extended period of time) adds another dimension to the unit.”
