Founder, Nick Mandie

Koala Kids was founded by 13 year old Nick after his Barmitzvah in 2005 when he was a student at Melbourne Grammar. After graduating from Monash University B. Comm in 2014, Nick joined Ord Minnett where he is presently employed as a stock broker. Nick is actively involved in Koala Kids co-chairing the young adults committee who hosted the Inaugural Orange Gala in 2016 raising awareness for 15 to 25 year olds in cancer treatment and an extraordinary profit of more than $70,000.

Jack Bongiorno

Partner Marshall White Real Estate wrote Santa and His Brother Downunder for children in 2014 and donated all of the proceeds to Koala Kids. He visits the Children’s Cancer Centres each Spring Racing Carnival with his 2013 Melbourne Cup for the families and staff to hold.

Bridgette Veneris & Sharon Armstrong


Bridgette was diagnosed with ALL in 2015 and with her mother Sharon turns treatment days at Monash Children’s Cancer Centre into fun days promoting Koala Kids to other families.

Tiffany Cherry

Tiffany chose Koala Kids as the recipient of the profits of the Token Blokes Golf Day in 2013.  Tiffany and her gorgeous daughter, toddler Vivienne support Koala Kids in a variety of ways.

Tom & Emma Hawkins

High profile Melbourne couple, Tom and Emma are wonderful supporters of Koala Kids. Tom is a champion AFL footballer with Geelong FC and Emma has her own website Who Loves That and a large social media following.

Jean Mitchell

Jeannie joined the Koala Kids team as an ambassador in February 2017 in her VCE year at Ruyton Girls’ School. She shows great strength, determination and spirit in juggling the demands of her treatment.

Millie Inman

Millie is a cancer survivor and uses her personal experience to assist and inspire others presently undergoing treatment. Millie was the star of the Koala Kids Inaugural Young Adults Orange Gala in 2016 which raised more than $70,000 and volunteers with Koala Kids liaising with ONTrac at Peter Mac and other adolescent and young adult cancer services.
