You’re going to make me cry!

“You’re going to make me cry.  I cannot begin to explain how humbling it is to have people you don’t know want to do so much for your family.  Only the other day Zoe’s day-care presented us with an amazing cash donation that they had raised through fundraising at the centre…..people I have never met before can’t do enough for us and sometime I just don’t know how to thank them all.  We are going to put this money away for a fabulous holiday when all this is over so we can relax and enjoy being a family again.

It means a lot that you would like to include Lucy (in the KOALA Kids superheroes program).  Lucy is an amazing little girl and is having to understand so much more than any kid around her does and should. I sometimes worry she misses out, but we try really hard to make sure that she doesn’t, which is not always easy.  What Lucy wants the most is for me not to go to the hospital with Zoe and it’s the one thing I can’t give her.  I know she understands and she takes it in her stride. She loves Zoe so much and her teacher told me the other day that Zoe is all she talks about…….you wouldn’t think it, from the way they are with each other at home…..but that’s just what siblings do and it makes me so happy to see them being “normal”.

Thank you so much KOALA Kids.”
