The Larkin family, Naomi, Grace, Violet and Deidre and Chris, are great supporters and friends of KOALA Kids. During their visit to Melbourne before Christmas Deidre and Chris and the girls called into KOALA Kids office in Hawthorn to say hi and donate a bag of balloon covers that Deidre made plus children’s novelty chopsticks that their daughter Grace enjoys eating with in Thailand. The Larkins moved to Thailand around 18 months ago. The balloon covers come with their own balloon which when blown up to the size of the cover, allows the balloon to be played with and for longer than a normal balloon. It can pop safely with a muffled noise.
The Larkin family also donated a copy of Deidre’s recollection of Naomi’s beaded journey to the CCCF, The CCCF continues to provide the funding for the beaded journey since it was launched in 2004, in order for each child and adolescent diagnosed with cancer to record every treatment they endure.
